About Kathy
Kathleen Ellis was born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Though she traveled extensively due to her father's work in construction, Houston became her home base. She attended R.E. Lee High School and later Sam Houston State University, graduating from Lamar University.

Ms Ellis worked for Santa Maria Hostel in Houston for 5 years and taught elementary school for 28 years in the Katy school district. At age 50 she returned to school to attain a master's degree in psychology, attending Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio where she earned her LPC license.

Kathleen is also a Fetal Alcohol System trainer and has taught Nurturing parenting classes. She's worked with women in the Harris County Jail PTSD program, and was Co-director of the Prevention Program and PPI (Postpartum Pregnancy Intervention) program. She has recently moved to the Fort Worth area with her elderly father to be near family; she is single and has no children.
